LAUGHTER IS SERIOUS BUSINESS

Laughter as therapy had its beginnings in India with Dr. Madan Kataria.  It strengthens the immune system, lowers blood pressure, and promotes emotional healing.  Join in laughter exercises that can change how you do business.

Acknowledgement and Partnership (Honoring the Wholeness Within)

Namaste is a greeting used in India.  This greeting is a way of honoring the wholeness within, a way of acknowledging the core of who we are and the source that joins us to all beings.  In this workshop, we will honor the wholeness within ourselves and others through an exercise and discussion.

POSSIBILITY

As a participant, you will learn new practices to put into your daily life that will change how life shows up for you by creating a shift in how you think about things---or by offering another possibility.  This workshop is based on the book by Rosamund and Benjamin Zander, The Art of Possibility.  In their words, “practices that will give you the means to lift off from the world of struggle and sail into a vast Universe of Possibility.”  It is not necessary to own or read the book.  Many sources are used.  This workshop is done in four 1.25 hour sessions.

EXPLORING SUCCESS

If you have ever asked yourself whether or not you have been or are successful and are not sure of the answer, this is the discussion group for you.  We will discuss how several authors and teachers have defined success.  Henry David Thoreau viewed success quite different from the rest of society.  The exploring and discussion of these ideas may help you to see yourself and others in a different light.

HEALING LAUGHTER
(Laughter---The Best Medicine)

Strengthen the immune system, lower blood pressure, and promote emotional healing by participating in laughter exercises.  This healing therapy originated in India and now laughter clubs are spreading all over the United States.  You will come to the world in a different way when you can add more laughter to your day.  This is not based on Joke telling.

LAUGHTER LEADER CERTIFICATION TRAINING

Research shows that Laughter:

  • Strengthens the immune system
  • Improves breathing, blood flow, digestion, and sleep
  • Adjusts blood pressure and blood sugar
  • Relaxes muscles
  • Burns Calories
  • Reduces pain
  • Helps people get along better together 

A medical background for this training is not required.  Anyone who wants to be a Certified Laughter Leader  must show satisfactory completion of the basic 2 day leader training workshop.  At the end of the workshop, you will be able to put CLL after your name!  This training is approved for continuing education units (CEU's) for Activity Therapists, Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists.  For more information on CEU's or to register for this workshop, visit
